Questions concerning property value, classification of property or greenbelt information should be directed to the Assessor's Office at (435) 781-5323.
Questions concerning abatements and tax relief, tax rates, appeal of value and May Tax Sale information should be directed to the Auditor's Office at (435) 781-5361.
Questions concerning tax payments information or mailing address should be directed to the Treasurer's Office at (435) 781-5368, 781-5367 or 781-5366.
Each office has its own duties and limitations and cannot make adjustments for another office.
When are my property taxes DUE?
Property taxes are due November 30th and yes, November 30th postmarks are accepted.
For what year am I being taxed?
The assessment is for twelve months, January 1st through December 31st, covering the year which the notice is sent.
Why did I receive a tax notice if my MORTGAGE COMPANY is supposed to pay my taxes?
Every taxpayer is mailed a Valuation Notice and a Tax Notice to inform them of their property value and tax status. Each year your mortgage company must request your tax amount from the Treasurer’s Office. The majority of payments from mortgage companies are not received until November 30th.
Can I pay my taxes with a credit or debit card?

Can I make payments on my property taxes?
Yes, advanced payments can be made towards the property tax due on November 30th.
Also, payments on previous years, delinquent taxes can be made. We encourage taxpayers with delinquent taxes when possible to bring taxes current by November 1.
If my taxes are delinquent and I make payments how are my payments applied?
If you accumulate more than one year of delinquent taxes, Utah law requires application of payments to the most recent year of delinquency. Payments are applied first to interest, then to penalty and finally to the tax due. Example if you have 2009, 2010 and 2011 delinquent taxes, payment would be applied to 2011 the most recent year due then to the 2010 delinquent tax and finally 2009.
When can I expect my property tax notice?
Property tax notices are normally mailed by the 3rd week in October, but no later than November 1st. If you do not receive a notice by November 1, call the Treasurer's Office at (435) 781-5368, 781-5367 or 781-5366.
The notice will be mailed in the name of the recorded owner as of January 1st.
It is the property owner's responsibility if they sell, move or change their addresss to furnish the Treasurer's Office with a current mailing address.
It is the tax payers responsibility to see that they get all of their notices and check their descriptions and acreage.
