- Animal Shelter -- For providing for the safe and humane care and control of domesticated livestock, household pets, and other animals, within Uintah County, as well as for the enforcement of Federal, State, County and Municipal laws and ordinances effectuating the control of said animals in the County.
- Assessor -- The Assessor's Office is required to evaluate property, both real and personal property at its respective fair market value for the purpose of taxation within Uintah County. We are committed to being fair, accurate and equitable.
- Attorney -- The Uintah County Attorney's office has the responsibility of prosecuting felonies committed in Uintah County, as well as certain misdemeanor cases in the District and Uintah County Justice Courts, as well as criminal proceedings in Juvenile Court.
- Cemetery -- The Cemeteries Department maintains and manages County Cemeteries, Vernal Memorial Park, Maeser Fairview, Rock Point, Jensen, Dry Fork, Lapoint, Tridell, Gusher, Leota, Avalon, and Hayden. The Cemeteries Department strives to provide all families in the County with a good experience. The department is committed to the beautification of all cemeteries as well as development with new technologies to make each cemetery better.
- Clerk / Auditor -- The Clerk Auditor's office is here to help the public with Cemetery Deeds, Marriage Licenses, Passports, Property Tax Abatements, and General County Questions. We also facilitate Accounts Payable, the Board of Equalization, Commission Meeting Minutes, the County Budget, Elections, GRAMA Requests, the May Tax Sale, Payroll, and Tax Exempt Properties.
- Community Development -- The Community Development Office helps the public with all planning and zoning issues and applications, subdivisions, building permits and business licenses.
- Commissioners -- The County Commission Office is the office of the three elected County Commissioners, who are the executive and legislative governing body for Uintah County.
- Economic Development -- Uintah County businesses are discovering the distinct advantages that Uintah County can offer. - Emergency Management -- The Uintah County Office of Emergency Management protects the community by coordinating the activities necessary to build, sustain and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to and recover from natural and man-made disasters.
- Facilities Management -- The Facilities Department maintains and manages the County's buildings and grounds. The department also manages the construction and remodel of all County facilities.
- GIS -- A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system that is used to construct, record, analyze, manipulate, and display geographic information . GIS is the Mapping Department.
- Golden Age Center -- In our continuing attempt to assist the senior citizens of Uintah County, the Uintah County Area Agency on Aging and the Golden Age Center are pleased to be able to give our clients the ability to access information about our services, such as: Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, In Home Services/Case Management, Senior Center / Recreation Activities, Legal Services, Shopping Assistance, Transportation, and more.
- Human Resources -- The goal of the Uintah County Human Resource Department is to provide equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants and to effectively administer County policies & procedures, compensation plans, performance evaluations, and benefit plans. The department will also advise the Commission, Department Heads, and County Boards regarding compliance with applicable human resource-related federal, state, and local laws.

- Justice Court -- Justice Courts are established by counties and municipalities and have the authority to deal with class B and C misdemeanors, violations of ordinances, small claims, and infractions committed within their territorial jurisdiction. Justice Court jurisdictions are determined by the boundaries of local government entities such as cities or counties, which hire the judges.
- Landfill -- Uintah County Landfill was created to develop, implement and manage the disposal of solid waste in an economical and environmentally sound manner using modern land filling technology. The County is committed to pursuing new technologies resulting in both extending the life of the landfill and improving the cleanliness and quality of the environment.
- Planning and Zoning -- Duties are handled by the Community Development department.
- Public Lands -- Nearly 70% of the land in Uintah County is publicly owned, and therefore administered by state and federal agencies. Provisions in the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) provide for Uintah County to participate and have a strong voice in the planning and decision making processes associated with managing these public lands.
- Recorder -- The Recorder is elected to a four-year term. He/she records documents and maps and also maintains cross-reference indexes to these records. The office provides for the subsequent retrieval of records for public viewing and produces copies and certifications of the records.
- Roads Department -- Uintah County has a total of 1318.3 miles of road which consists of 512 miles of paved roads and over 700 miles of gravel road to maintain each year.
- Sheriff's Office -- The Uintah County Sheriff's Office provides service for all types of civil process. However, we cannot provide forms or legal advice for civil process. The Utah State online court assistance program provides detailed information that answers frequently asked questions and also outlines links and forms to assist with obtaining the civil process paperwork to be served (including evictions).
- Treasurer -- The treasurer receives all money belonging to the county and all other money directed by law to be paid to the county. The treasurer safely keeps the same, applying, disbursing and rendering an account thereof as required by law.
- Uintah Fire District -- The Uintah Fire Suppression Special Service District was created in September 2006 to provide for the suppression of fire and emergency response to natural and man made disasters within Uintah County. The UFSSSD is governed by a 5 member Board that meets monthly to discuss the business of the Fire District.
